The star has given the complete sum of his £25,000 honor prize money to the trust for venues, which functions to save the Britain's small concert spaces.
He was given the award on 16 October as his third album People Watching was declared the best record of the previous year.
He has chosen to donate the funds to the Music Venues Trust, in appreciation of the vital role small stages played in his initial steps.
"I personally wouldn't be doing my current career if it weren't for all the performances I performed around the area, and beyond, when I was beginning," said Sam Fender. "These spaces are renowned, but they are in difficulty."
Beginning in 2023, more than 150 of these locations have ceased operations – approximately one-sixth of the whole industry in the UK.
In the last year, major artists including the band Pulp, Coldplay, Katy Perry and Ed Sheeran have all backed the Music Venues Trust in its initiatives to support the industry, by applying a modest fee to their ticket prices, which goes to help independent venues.
Fender also took part, raising more than £100,000 on his recent tour to assist 38 grassroots venues across England, Scotland, and Wales.
These funds supported spaces that were facing potential shutdown due to issues stemming from floods, fires and personal losses, as well as regulatory hurdles, conflicts and neighbor objections.
Some locations obtained monetary aid in modernizing infrastructure and gear that helped musicians and concertgoers.
"The concept that revenue from performances in big venues supports the local stages, where it all starts for artists like me, is just common sense," the star has said.
He is not the first artist to contribute his award funds to worthy causes.
Back when the band received the trophy in the year 1996 for their album Different Class, lead singer Cocker stated that the band would contribute their cash to the charity the charity.
In 2002, artist the artist split her bounty across a few charities, such as the NSPCC and a Sickle Cell charity.
"I also donated a grand to the center, to their gymnastics class, because I practiced gymnastics when I was growing up and they required updated gear," Ms Dynamite shared with a publication.
Two years ago, Ezra Collective gave their funds to the community center that developed their act, as well as other grassroots music organisations.
Also the 1994 recipients M People contributed their award to a MS organization after a friend was diagnosed the condition.
"The victory was ample," said artist Small. "The prize was the bonus but we could do without the extra, because we had the honor. So our winning touched somebody else's life."
In the past week, the trust revealed it had saved two grassroots venues in south-east England, by transferring them to public stewardship.
The first in the city and the second in the city were purchased under the community ownership initiative, which is backed by a national body and supporters who acquire "shares" in the venues.
